Paradox Cafe
The food here is decent - the corn cakes are good and filling - but it's not very accessible. Getting to the bathroom in a wheelchair would be kind of a pain, and the aisles aren't especially wide....Read full review >

Aalto Lounge
Front of the bar is a bit narrow, but the bar and cocktails are good and the service is generally nice. Access to the bar is through a glass door connected to the Belmont Stumptown that can be slightly unwieldy. There's a lot of traffic that comes through it during the day, though....Read full review >

Chopsticks Express
Three stars for having, hands down, the best karaoke in PDX and cheap Chinese food. Unfortch, the bathroom are a little too narrow for great navigation, and the place can get intimidatingly crowded on weekends....Read full review >

Burgerville USA
In my experience, fast-food chains tend to be set up pretty much the same in terms of accessibility, and this Burgerville branch is no different. However, by supporting Burgerville over the usual suspects (McD's, etc.), you're supporting a NW-based business that sources largely from local farms. The way this particular restaurant's parking lot is set up is kind of a maze due to the drive-thru, but watch out for cars and you're good....Read full review >

Leslie McDaniel Interiors
Pretty accessible and the house coffee was really good (and I'm not a big coffee drinker), but the ambience was lacking. The place opened just a couple years ago but is stuck in 1993, with cheesy wrought iron everywhere. The accessible bathroom's in the place next door, Darcy's (a diner)....Read full review >

It's a Beautiful Pizza
This place is fairly accessible for wheelchairs - bathrooms, entrances, etc. - but I'm into thin crust/NY style and they don't do that here. Still, some of the best pizza you're gonna find along Belmont....Read full review >

Amnesia Brewing
Excellent beer - especially the Copacetic. Nice service and the place is pretty accessible, with a ramp to get into the bar. The locks are kind of high on the bathroom doors, though, and they were out of straws so we had to go to Mississippi Pizza down the road to pick one up. The bar's also a little high. I can vouch for the cheeseburgers being totally edible. The bus stop for the 4 line is right next to the place....Read full review >

BridgePort Ale House
Easy to get in; bathroom is in back and although you might have to ask people to move so you can scoot by in a wheelchair, there is an accessible toilet. The food is upscale bar food that goes well with their own brews, including Blue Heron Pale, which always goes down easy....Read full review >

Delicious, huge omelets. Condiment options included this amazing habanero sauce called Aardvark that's made locally in PDX. Spicy bloody marys. Staff was really nice, and the bathroom's pretty spacious. The aisles aren't huge, but were manageable. ...Read full review >

St John's Theater
Didn't check out the restrooms, but there's a massive ramp that'll take you to the second-story screen. It's a little steep, but was doable. The entry door is a little heavy. The kids working behind the counter were pretty nice, and the pizza and beer (they have a couple Deschutes brews on tap) are good. There was an area for wheelchairs in the theater we were in that was flat....Read full review >

Pretty standard brunch spot - omelettes were OK but the Secret Aardvark habanero sauce saved it. Free coffee cart while you're waiting = a nice touch. The path to the bathroom on a weekend morning is crowded, and the bathroom's not particularly wheelchair accessible....Read full review >

Buffalo Exchange LTD
The way into the store is by this ramp-like concrete area with two heavy doors - the doors are narrow enough that you might have to open both of them to get in if you're in a chair, and they're not automatic. Also, they have so much stuff here, the racks of clothes are stifling. Try and get between the aisles in a regular-sized wheelchair, and you might get eaten by a pair of corduroys. They do have at least one larger dressing room for wheelchairs, but it's still kinda awkward. The service is generally pretty nice, though, and you're almost guaranteed to find something you like for cheap if you spend enough time searching. The stuff tends to be way more attractive than Red Light down the street - I should know - I used to sell clothes at BE all the time in college when I was broke as a joke, and then I'd take whatever BE didn't want to Red Light and they almost always bought it....Read full review >

Bagdad Theatre & Pub
Check out second-run movies on the cheap, and pick up some pizza and McMenamin's brews while you're at it. Usually runs kids/family fare during the day, blockbuster-ish fare at night. The counter where you order food and drink is a bit high if I'm recalling correctly. You can get to both the main level of the theater and the mezzanine by wheelchair, but the mezzanine ramp is kinda steep. The theater's beautiful - it's featured (along with Marlee Matlin) in the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?"...Read full review >

Movie Madness Video & More
Two thumbs up for movie selection (there's something like 70K available here - supposedly it's the most extensive collection of movies under one, independent roof). Unfortunately, the accessibility of this place ain't superb. The aisles are pretty narrow, and some of the movies are kept up pretty high on the shelves, which makes it tough to browse from a wheelchair, or for little people. If video killed the radio star, Netflix killed the video store, so big ups for this place still being around... Only in Portland......Read full review >

Fujin
Cheap Chinese food place that's been around forever (due mostly to its great fried eggplant, I'm guessing). Wheelchair accessibility is so-so: no steps and a light front door, and fairly wide aisles. The bathroom's size is manageable, but it doesn't have grab bars and the lock on its door is too high to reach if you in a typical wheelchair. ...Read full review >
