Dunno if you've heard, but some people are pissed that non-blind, non-deaf actress Abigail Breslin (the annoying one from Little Miss Sunshine…actually, they were all kind of annoying) will be playing Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker on Broadway next year.

The new news is that as a result of the outcry from disabled advocacy groups, the producers of the play are now seeking a deaf and/or blind understudy for the role.

Thee-ah-ter's great and all, but personally, I'm more interested in all the Helen Keller-related slang terms usurping so many of the bytes over on Urban Dictionary's server. F'r instance:

- Helen Keller: one who unnecessarily wears sunglasses indoors, unlike Helen Keller, who actually had a good excuse.

- Helen Keller karaoke: when you're singing along with a song and reach a part of the lyrics that you don't know, instead making vague sounds and grunts to imitate them.

And everyone's favorite:

- Helen Keller downtown bonanza: to insert one's hand into the rectum of another and proceed in speaking in sign language.
